Various cultures (races) have tradeskills that only
members of their race can perform. These tradeskills generally require
that combines to be made by a person of the proper race, using the
proper cultural tradeskill container (racial forge, racial sewing
kit, etc.). Note that illusions do not work to fool a cultural tradeskill
container.
- Barbarians: chain,
plate and a BST-wearable reinforced armor, plus weapons
- Dark Elves: Armor
plus a few weapons
- Dwarves: Brellium
Armor - can also be worn by gnomes and halflings
- Erudites: cultural
tailoring, with a small smithing component
- Gnomes: have a variety
of tinkered goodies, including some brand new cultural armor
- Halflings: Tailored
armor and weight reducing bags, with smithing component
- High Elves: Smithed
armor for a variety of classes, including casters
- Humans: Smithed armor & weapons. Now split into recipes
for the Freeport
Forge and the Qeynos
Forge ...new links!!
- Iksar: Skyiron armor,
weapons, shields (iksar only)
- Ogres: Adamantite Armor
- can also be worn by trolls
- Trolls: finally have
a little bit of cultural smithing, using other people's beat up
old weapons and shields
- Wood Elves: fletching,
smithing, tailoring ... a little bit of this, a little bit of
that
- Half elves do not have ANY racial tradeskills
planned at last check. Apparently, while they can wear much of
what the various cultural smiths/tailors can make, half elves
do not have a recognizeable culture of their own. (Do NOT flame
me about this, please. I'm just reporting what we've heard from
VI)
- Guess what? Same goes for Vah Shir, I am sorry to say.
Since vah shir do not follow any deity, apparently they do not
have any cultural skills, either. Again, don't shoot the messenger,
as while we can whimper and complain all we wish, we have no control
over VI's decisions. :)
