LoY Spell Research Recipes

Keep an eye on the main spell research recipes page for additional updates, new pages, links, etc..

All combines must be performed by an INT caster of the proper class, in their advanced spell research container. These containers are no drop, and given by Researcher Alvarik (loc 1367, 80) in the Gulf of Gunthak by telling him "I am a ___" (wizard, magician, necromancer, enchanter). He checks to make sure that you actually are of the class listed, and that you have a spell research skill of 101 or higher before he will give you the container. The parchment and quill mentioned are standard spell research components. The other items (words, pages, runes, etc., etc.) are now random mob drops off higher-level mobs throughout the lands.

WARNING! Some 50-60 dropped spells are LORE. Be very careful to check whether a spell you already have is Lore before making another one. The spell scrolls you research are identical to the ones that are dropping, so having a dropped version in your possession can still pose problems even if you are researching it for the first time.
